The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 2 exam pattern is as follows:
The exam is conducted in online mode.
The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
The exam consists of 4 papers - Paper I, Paper II, Paper III, and Paper IV.
Paper I and Paper II are compulsory for all the posts.
Paper III is only for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Statistical Investigator Grade-II.
Paper IV is only for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer.
Here's the detailed pattern of each paper:
Paper I: Quantitative Ability
Total marks: 200
Number of questions: 100
Negative marking: 0.50 marks for each wrong answer
Syllabus: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, and Data Interpretation
Paper II: English Language and Comprehension
Total marks: 200
Number of questions: 200
Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
Syllabus: Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, and Writing Skills
Paper III: Statistics
Total marks: 200
Number of questions: 100
Negative marking: 0.50 marks for each wrong answer
Syllabus: Probability, Sampling Theory, Statistical Inference, Hypothesis Testing, Time Series Analysis, Index Numbers
Paper IV: General Studies (Finance and Economics)
Total marks: 200
Number of questions: 100
Negative marking: 0.50 marks for each wrong answer
Syllabus: Finance and Accounting, Economics and Governance
Note: Paper I and Paper II are conducted for a duration of 2 hours each, while Paper III and Paper IV are conducted for a duration of 2 hours each but are conducted separately.
